Get your passport ready!
To travel to France, U.S. citizens need a valid passport that meets the following requirements: The passport must be valid for at least 3 months after the intended departure date. The passport must have at least one blank page for stamps. UPDATE: ETIAS will start operations in the last quarter of 2026. No action is required from travelers at this point. The European Union will inform about the specific date for the start of ETIAS several months prior to its launch.
