August 24th, 2017, district wide SpEd Professional Development day- Olivia's perspective I saw Jeremy across the room and instantly thought, "who is that?!" Later that day I found out that he was my new assistant principal and I knew pursuing him would be a challenge. Within the first couple of pass by conversations and long football game chats, I knew that there was something special between us. I even started telling my parents and close friends that Jeremy was my "future husband, he just didn't know it yet." The day I met him I knew I wasn't going to let him go. Jeremy's perspective: As soon as I saw her I thought, "Whose that? She's super pretty and noticed she has a gorgeous smile and a cute laugh." I was excited to see that she was sitting at a table with all LCC coworkers. My next thought was, "I wonder if she's single and that this was going to be challenging because I instantly knew I already liked her and it was somebody I work with at my new job." I spent the next two months doing everything I could to talk to her. I would stand next to her at football games, bring her la croix (her favorite) to our work meetings, and stop her around campus (or pop by her room) and find any reason to strike up a conversation with her. It was pretty much love at first sight.
Jeremy and Olivia had closed on their forever home in their dream neighborhood of Lake San Marcos. The day they got the keys they went to the house to have some celebratory champagne. Jeremy INSISTED he "carry her [Olivia] over the threshold" and despite Olivia's protest he did just that. Once they got into the house Jeremy got down on one knee and asked Olivia to be his wife! Of course she said, "YES!"
