They met at SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry, while both studying for Bachelor's Degrees - Greg: Environmental Engineering, and Olivia: Aquatic and Fisheries Science. By chance they met through a common friend group. Greg wasn't very obvious with his flirting, whereas Olivia was a little more forward. Even though Olivia was nervous to be together with Greg, they couldn't ignore the chemistry between them both. After several weeks of Olivia being too scared to commit, Greg finally had Olivia wrapped around his finger. His humor, kindness, and ocean eyes finally made her realize that they were meant to be together.

They didn't have the most traditional proposal! Greg and Olivia had been talking about getting engaged for a while at this point. Greg said to Olivia, "Well, do you want to get married?", to which Olivia replied, "Not with that proposal!". A week or so passed, and while walking their dog, Scotty, Olivia asked Greg - "So should we get married, then?". Greg responded with a "Sure", and Olivia was not pleased - she wanted an excited "yes"! Later that day, Greg went to the grocery store to get dinner, but came back with more than that. He walked into the kitchen with a bouquet of flowers in a vase and said, "Hey lady, wanna get married?". Olivia said "yes!". After that, they picked out their engagement rings, and started wedding planning.

November 2014 - Greg and Olivia officially began dating after their first date together on the Water Towers. July 2015 - Greg and Olivia take a Wetland Restoration class together that has them go to Chiapas, Mexico to learn about sustainable agriculture and wetland restoration. They rode in Combes traveling throughout the area, visiting Mayan ruins, listening to Howler Monkeys call in the thunderstorm, and eating the best street food they have ever tasted! March 2016 - Olivia and Greg graduate from SUNY Environmental Science and Forestry. Greg goes to work the summer in Walton, NY and Olivia in Colville, WA. October 2016 - After both having lived in WA state for a summer, the two packed up their belongings and left for the ultimate adventure of living in Washington. They moved to Yakima, WA initially, then Olympia, and finally ended up in Edmonds, WA. June 10, 2018 - Olivia moved to Edmonds, WA to live with Greg again, after living in Olympia, WA for 9 months to work for Fish and Wildlife. - They adopted their adorable, yet sassy, pup named Scotty. March 2019 - Greg and Olivia get engaged. Olivia and Greg have hiked a lot of Washington state, but are excited to see so much more. Since 2019, Greg has been promoted as a Capital Project Manager at the City of Edmonds, and Olivia has gone back to college to change careers and become a Veterinarian Technician after 4 years as a Fish Biologist. They have also recently moved into the first home they are renting, with a yard for Scotty to run around.
