Maid of Honor
My amazing little sister. Being 11 months apart has notoriously been our claim to fame! Our story is a winding road of tough times, growth, and healing. We started as cute little troublemakers sharing bunk beds, wearing matching outfits (to her dismay!), trips to Granny B's house, drifting apart in high school, and then eventually finding our way back to each other as adults. Every time we're together, we ask ourselves "Did you ever imagine this is what our lives would look like?"... as I stare at her in awe as she navigates motherhood while I get to have Auntie Liv time with Molly - both things we never pictured for ourselves. Our days are full of random chats and hour-long phone calls; offering to be that person who understands and loves you through it all. We have undoubtedly learned to love each other in a new and beautiful way. It has been a journey through our sisterhood, and I am forever grateful to have her by my side and in my life, fully.
Best Man
Evan has been my best friend since childhood. Friendship was almost assumed at first, since we grew up together on a 7-acre wooded lot in Haycock, miles from other schoolmates and family. We've had plenty of highs and lows, especially in our youth, where we often argued for insignificant reasons. Since our twenties we’ve become even closer. We share plenty of common interests like cars, longboarding, video games, fishing, travel, food, tequila… the list goes on. But beyond hobbies, we share a common upbringing and a similar set of beliefs. I like to think that I’m still 2 years ahead of him on our paths through life, but the truth is I’ve been mistaken for his younger brother for at least 10 years now and I know that isn’t just based on our looks!
Bridesmaid
A friend 'til the end. Corkie and I met in high school, and we just understood each other. We expected people to show up and to care as much as we did - about everything. When we realized we could do that for each other, our souls bonded and never let go. Corkie holds me up when I need her, and always reminds me that I am doing more than enough. I never tire of her hilarious quips and the way she lets me be unabashedly myself (thank you, forever). We have built our friendship on growth, honesty, and trust. My life just wouldn’t be the same without Corkie’s fresh perspective and giant heart along with our mutual love for all things colorful!
Groomsman
Bud and I have been acquainted since we were in Cub Scouts. Humorously, Bud and Olivia have known each other longer since they met in kindergarten. Through high school, we ran in similar circles, but our friendship didn't take off until we chose to be roommates at Penn State. Freshman and Sophomore years were some of the most formative of my life, and Bud was with me for all of it. I struggled with direction, unsure how I would make it out of engineering school successfully. Thankfully, Bud kept me sane with his non-stop jokes and shenanigans. If two roommates could have made a career out of playing Guitar Hero and Rock Band (both videogames), we would have and we definitely would have been on MTV. In reality, we were really just a cover band playing plastic instruments. Since college, we have stayed close, regularly grouping up online to play various video games (okay mostly League of Legends) and meeting up to hang out with him and Kim. I'm so thankful that I get to call Bud one of my best friends and one of my groomsmen.
Bridesmaid
The one that got away. I think we are too perfect for each other, so now we both will have husbands instead! Alisa and I met in English class where she had the audacity to sit in front of me and get better grades. I envied and admired her then (and always will, I’m sure!), and instead of trying to compete with her, I would legitimately follow her to the ends of the earth - no questions asked. Through every phase of life, I never feel alone or lost due to the amazing support and love that radiates between us and is so selflessly given. Alisa is always my safety net when I need a rational thought amidst the chaos in my brain, and there is never a shortage of hugs or pets when we're together!
Groomsman
I have a crush on Evan Smith. There, I said it. I have definitely hugged him a little too long on many occasions. Evan Smith is the kind of person you want to like you. Look at me! Anyone who knows him closely knows that he has a unique perspective and sense of humor. I think it's a byproduct of his homeschooling. He would hand me the food out of his own hand, or the shirt off his back if I asked him for it. That said, I think he'd do that for anyone he had an ounce of respect for, but I still like to think I'm special.
Flower Girl
Our niece and little ray of sunshine! You keep us on our toes with your curiosity and constantly in awe with your determination. Auntie Liv & Uncle Forrest love you in a way we didn't even know existed until you came into our lives.
