Dimitri and Olivia's love story began when they were just eleven years old. They met at Greek dance practice at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, where both of them were baptized. Although Olivia grew up going to Saint Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church, their paths crossed at Holy Trinity. Interestingly, Dimitri and Olivia were born in the same hospital, just five days apart. They believe their mothers probably crossed paths going in and out of the hospital, and they truly believe they were meant to be together. Growing up, Olivia’s mom would always joke that Dimitri and Olivia were going to get married one day. It became a running joke over the years — whenever she saw Dimitri’s parents, she would say it again. What started as a lighthearted comment turned into something that now feels almost prophetic… and here we are. Dimitri remembers Olivia as the new girl and quickly developed a crush on her. Over the next six years, they danced side by side, growing into close friends with an undeniable spark between them. Their bond deepened beyond Greek dance and lasted through their high school years. After high school, their paths diverged. Olivia went on to study at East Carolina University and later attended law school in Raleigh, NC. Meanwhile, Dimitri remained in Charlotte where he attended college and began his career. Despite being apart for seven years, they cherished the moments Olivia came home for the holidays. In spring of 2022, Olivia surprised them both by deciding to move back to Charlotte. As soon as Olivia returned, they decided to finally give their relationship a real chance. Since then, they’ve been inseparable—buying a home together and creating a joyful life with their two dogs, Penny and Sparky. Dimitri proposed to Olivia at Treehouse Vineyards on June 8, 2024, marking a new chapter in their love story. Dimitri and Olivia believe their journey is truly special and worth sharing. They can't wait to celebrate their love with all of you.
