Dean and I first met in the fall of 2022 at an indoor pickup volleyball event we both attended every Sunday night. One week we were randomly placed on the same team and having never met before, we introduced ourselves and chatted a bit in between points. We continued to attend weekly and would occasionally get the chance to play on the same team together. Later on that winter, I was creating a team for a league and needed one more guy to complete the team, so I thought of Dean and he joined! After about three months of playing on the same team together and getting to know each other more, Dean asked me out on a date. On our first date, we quickly realized that we had a lot more in common than just volleyball. Over the next several months of dating, we spent a lot of time together - meeting each other's friends and families, enjoying our shared hobbies, and naturally fit so easily into each other's lives. About a year and a half later, on July 5, 2024, while on a camping trip with my family, Dean asked me to be his wife and I said yes to forever!
