Ryan was the boy across the street from my Dad's house, looking back I remember sitting in the driveway when my Dad was moving in and Ryan was getting out of the car coming back from what looked like football practice My step-mom, Bernadette made a joke saying "you are going to date him someday" when she saw me looking at him... Little did we know then, that she was right. Ryan and I met years later in High School, besides the run-ins at bus stops and glances from across the street. I had become friends with one of the guys that sat with Ryan at lunch and I decided to start eating lunch with them. After a few weeks and plenty of lunch conversations, jokes, and building friendships I confided in Ryan's best friend and soon-to-be Best Man, Joe and told him of the crush I had on Ryan, Joe agreeing how this might work out the plotting began. Joe and I worked on plotting how to get Ryan trapped into a double date with Joe, his girlfriend, and me. After a failed attempt at Joe's house, I decided to finally ask Ryan over to my parent's house to watch his favorite movie, Fight Club. Ryan agreed and it all started there. After many homecomings, a few Sadie Hawkings dances, two proms, College at Eastern Washington University, a dog and a cat later, and 8 years of dating, laughing, and friendship we are finally tying the knot and neither of us could be more excited.
