A short 20-minute drive from San Ciro de Acosta along the road to Rioverde, SLP, El Manantial de San Sebastián is a hidden gem that holds a very special place in our hearts. You’ll pass a large entrance sign on the right, just after the towns of San José and Agua Dulce. This beautiful river area is where Maria spent many joyful Sundays with her family, enjoying picnics and the serene surroundings. La Media Luna is a spring located in Río Verde, San Luis Potosí, known for its crystal-clear waters and a constant temperature of 28°C (82°F) year-round. This protected natural area is home to a rich variety of flora and fauna, including fossil remains and pre-Hispanic sculptures. Visitors can enjoy activities such as swimming, snorkeling, and camping in the surrounding areas. Additionally, life jackets and other diving equipment are available for rent, with prices varying depending on the activity. Important Safety Note: If you visit, please make sure to wear a life vest—even if you are a strong swimmer. The waters can be unpredictable, and wearing a vest is essential for your safety. Life vests are a must!
In the heart of San Ciro de Acosta, you’ll find a beautiful Cristo statue overlooking the town, offering breathtaking panoramic views. You can easily drive and park just a few feet from the statue, making it a perfect spot to take in the scenery, snap photos, or simply enjoy a peaceful moment. This landmark is a true gem of our town and a must-see for anyone visiting.
