Our story began long before we ever imagined it would. We may have met as kids at a church in New Hampshire, where Oliver’s grandpa was the Pastor and my grandpa was a regular attendee. In fact, our dads grew up going to church and school together and were even baptized on the same day. Although we never stayed in touch over the years, we truly believe God was preparing something special all along. Through different seasons of life and in completely separate places, God was working behind the scenes, preparing our hearts, shaping our paths, and perfectly timing our reunion in a way only He could. Fast forward to March 2025, my good friend from church mentioned she wanted to set me up with her coworker from the hospital… named Oliver. As she started describing Oliver, I had a feeling I knew exactly who he was. And once she showed me a picture of the Michaud family, it was confirmed, our families were already connected. My friend told Oliver about me that same Monday, and he immediately recognized my last name. After seeing a picture of me, Oliver asked for my number and reached out that same day. From the start, Oliver was intentional. He planned our first date at Barista Alley for coffee. We spent the afternoon talking about life, our families, and sharing our faith. Before we even left, Oliver asked for a second date. By our fourth date, just a week later, Oliver asked me to be his girlfriend. From that point on, we’ve spent nearly every day together, growing closer, laughing often, and keeping Christ at the center of it all. On June 18, 2025, Oliver brought me back to Barista Alley, the cozy little coffee shop where we first met. There, in the most thoughtful way, Oliver got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was the most beautiful surprise. Oliver had planned every detail with so much love and intention. To top it all off, both of our families were waiting inside Barista Alley to celebrate with us right after the proposal. It was an unforgettable day filled with joy, love, and the people who mean the most to us. God has been in every detail of our story. We both spent years praying for one another before we even knew each other existed, and God answered those prayers in ways more beautiful than we could have imagined. Oliver was worth the wait. Now, we’re beyond excited to begin this next chapter as husband and wife, committed to serving the Lord together and forever grateful for His faithfulness in bringing us together in His perfect timing. “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever, Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21.
