Let’s start with some practical tips on Angers, which is the city near the wedding venue where Celine’s family lives. By train from Paris: if you arrive from Paris Orly airport (ORY), follow the link below to see the different options for you to get to Montparnasse, which is the train station that will take you to Angers. If you arrive from Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), same as for ORL, different options which can be found in the 2nd link below. Paris Airport to Train Station: ORL - https://www.rome2rio.com/s/Gare-Montparnasse/Paris-Orly-Airport-ORY CDG - https://www.rome2rio.com/s/Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle-Airport-CDG/Gare-Montparnasse Train tickets from Paris Montparnasse to Angers Saint Laud are quite expensive if you book them last minute (around 70 euros early and up to 150 euros round trip if you book last minute). Tickets can be purchased 3 months prior (not before). Train will take you about 1h30min. By train from Nantes: If you arrive from Nantes Atlantique airport and you decide to get to Angers by train, then you can use the link below on how to get from Nantes airport to Nantes train station. Train will take you about 35min. https://getbybus.com/en/blog/airport-nantes/ By train from Amsterdam: Oliver and I usually prefer to go to Angers by train as both the Thalys and the TGV are very comfy. If you decide to go with a group, you can book a special spot and have a fun chat, and maybe already have a nice wine to start your French holiday the way you should! Connect can be in Paris Nord / Montparnasse (30min metro connection) or via Marne la Vallee (Disney) which then won’t require changing stations. To book trains in France, please use this link: https://www.sncf-connect.com/en-en/ By Plane / Car: If you arrive in Paris, you need about a 4h drive to Angers, and 45 min if you arrive from Nantes. If you decide to book a hotel in Angers, you will find free parking at “La Rochefoucauld” (on the river).
