Bryan and I both attended Monsignor Edward Pace High School, and while we shared the same friends and later came to find out that we even had a class together, we didn't meet there. Luckily for us, Pace served as a point of reference where we could tie in a familiar face. Fast-forward four years after graduating high school. It was one of my last semesters at FIU, and I saw Bryan walk across the large auditorium the first day of one of our chemistry classes (true story). Tall, handsome, and casually sporting a yellow Outdoor World fishing shirt. Admittedly, he caught my eye. He had this effortless, confident look to him that immediately drew my attention. That same day, I sent him a message through Facebook, one which he came to see way after we started dating, introducing myself and asking if he'd like to study sometime. Seems desperate, but I had only six weeks to make something work, so I took the chance. Still no response to my message, and I didn't really think twice about it. It wasn't until the following week, Bryan walked into the same lab I was in (if you know how small the groups that break out into those labs are, you'd definitely agree this was fate). He had missed the first lab since he'd just started a new job at Baptist hospital, and so this was my chance to shine. We waved at each other from across the room, I helped him with the first lab that he'd missed, and after a few study dates, he asked me out to breakfast on a real date. On July 19, 2014 (after a few weeks of meeting), Bryan asked me to be his girlfriend. We both agreed that it was all really sudden and that there would be no hard feelings on either end if things didn't last past a week. A week turned into a month, then a year, and so on. And after 3 years, Bryan asked me to marry him on August 26, 2017. After 7 years together (4 of which we've been engaged), we are happy to say that we're finally getting married! And we'd like to thank you for being a part of our ongoing story.
