Flight

Airport Of Origin-CEB

Possible Airports to fly from: JFK, IAD, DCA, or BWI. Final Destination: Mactan Cebu International Airport (CEB) Wedding Venue: Bohol (An Island off of Cebu) Book your tickets from your choice of airport of origin to Cebu OR you have the option to book your final destination as Manila BUT you would still need to book another flight from MNL-CEBU (1 hr & 12 mins) OR MNL-BOHOL (1 hr & 30 min). And from CEBU we suggest to use the FERRY BOAT(2 hrs) to get to BOHOL via OceanJet. Please visit this website for more details: (https://www.philippinesredcat.com/cebu-to-bohol/) We along with the wedding party are leaving Aug 11. We suggest that you give yourself ample time for flights as the flight duration from the US to the Philippines take about 1 day to 1.5 days of travel. Also consider flight delays and unforseen circumstances *knock on wood* Please keep in mind that Philippines is 24 hrs ahead We also recommend you book your flight with travel insurance for precautionary measures

Money Exchange, Prepaid Sim Card, Grab App

MONEY EXCHANGE: Philippines is mostly a cash economy. Credit cards aren’t accepted by many medium and smaller businesses in the Philippines. So the easiest way to pay for anything in the Philippines is by using cash in the local currency. The current currency exchange as of Feb 2019: US $1= PH ₱52 For more information on where to exchange money, please refer to this website (http://philippinesangelescity.com/index.php/philippines-money-exchangecurrency/) SIM CARD: As soon as you arrive at the airport there are booths where you can get your FREE Pre-paid simcards for your phones. If you are interested just present your foreign passport. We suggest you go with GLOBE provider. You can also get the SIM cards anywhere in the Philippines such as phone kiosks, street vendors, local shops and supermarket that are willing to sell a SIM card. GRAB APP: Uber is not available in the Philippines. We recommend you download the Grab app on your phone for transportation services.
