From swiping right...to saying “I do” It all started on the first of May 2014 on the infamous dating app Tinder with Alex’s pick up line – “So are you Ukrainian?”. It’s hard to explain but after Olga & Alex’s first encounter, it’s as if they already knew each other. The two became inseparable as the days progressed and within only three months the thought of marriage arouse...and here we are! To this day Olga still asks Alex, “Do you think we would have met each other in life if we didn’t back then?”...and Alex always replies, “You have always been the one for me. Our hearts would have always found each other”.

When it Rains it Pours Alex spent months planning his proposal to be at the annual Soyuzivka Ukrainian Festival where he would have proposed on stage in front of over a thousand people right before the closing dance of the show, Hopak. However, mother nature had another plan. After the show, Olga was so upset with Alex’s non-communicative demeanor, but little did she know he was about to ask her the biggest question of his life. Surrounded by family and loved ones in a tiny Uzhorod room, Alex began explaining his original proposal plan – this is the point where Olga’s hands got clamy and throat began to close. Alex pulled out the ring box from his back pocket and got down on one knee...”Well are you going to ask me?!” she exclaimed – “Olya, will you marry me?” & the rest is history!
