Their story paused briefly after Eduardo graduated, but fate intervened in January 2020, bringing them back into each other's lives. The moment they reconnected, the powerful spark they had shared in high school was reignited. On February 4, 2020, Eduardo officially asked Olga Maria to be his girlfriend. Since then, their relationship has flourished as they've built a loving home together, welcoming their beloved dog, Spots, and their cherished cats, Freddie and Ace, into their family.

Olga Maria and Eduardo's yearly tradition of painting mini pumpkins led them to the pumpkin patch on October 25, 2025. First, Eduardo suggested a hike. On their walk, they saw wildlife and enjoyed the beautiful fall scenery. When they paused to take in the view, Olga Maria was distracted by a tree with bright autumn colors. This was when Eduardo secretly got down on one knee. She turned around, saw him, and was so excited that she said yes immediately.
