The first official date was over spicy margaritas at Mezcalito in San Francisco. He tried to pass off as Matt Damon, and she immediately recognized he was a pretty funny guy. She obviously enjoyed his antics because once he asked if she would like a second drink, she stuck around a while longer. Little did they know that in less than 90 days they'd be quarantining together for much longer than anyone could expect!

After a carefully rehearsed strategy to propose, nothing went according to plan. She found the ring "hiding" behind the fruit bowl on the table just minutes before his planned proposal, but he was quick on his feet to pop the question. Since COVID turned them into early birds, after the proposal, they began their day with coffee, chocolate croissants, and a romantic hike to the Golden Gate Bridge. The day turned out more than perfect.
