We met at the Airbnb my friend rented for her birthday weekend in July of 2017. I was living in Dallas, TX at the time and was only in town for the weekend. My friend and Olamide met and became friends earlier that year when she moved out to LA so she asked him to bring some water to the Airbnb for her guests. She swears she introduced us when he arrived seeing as we're namesakes and he remembers this as well. But! for the life of me I can't remember the introduction or meeting him. He was there for about 10 mins apparently and then left. 2 weeks later in August, I had the opportunity to interview for a job in LA and was back in town for a day. A week after that, I was offered the position and 2 weeks after that in September, I moved to LA. The church I attended my first Sunday as a Texas transplant happened to be Olamide's church. I identified myself as a first timer and had to introduce myself to the congregation. After the service, everyone was very welcoming and introduced themselves especially the young adults. One of the pastors was very insistent that I meet another member of the church also named Olamide. He brought him by, we said our hellos and that was that. Fast forward to 2018, the first few months of the year we both happened to be at more than a few events at the same time. Every time I saw him, I would just think, "oh, that's that guy again". I saw him again at a party the at the end of March and decided it was ridiculous to keep playing chicken when we were obviously watching each other from a distance. So, I called him over, said hello and we chatted for a bit. We apparently had mutual friends at the party so we all danced together the rest of the night. He asked me to meet at his favorite ice cream spot that Friday, and the rest as they say is history ☺.

We were briefly introduced to each other because of our names at Adebisi’s birthday in July 2017. I was there briefly for the brunch and had to leave. I just remembered that there was a female Olamide at the birthday. Fast forward 2 months later, I heard a first timer introduce herself as “Olamide...” at my church service, but because I was at my workstation in the technical department, I didn’t see the person. After service, a pastor insisted I come and say hello to the first-timer Olamide. Bruh! I went, we exchanged pleasantries and neither of us remembered we had met less than two months ago. Between September and March, we saw each other at different events. On March 31st 2018, I walked past her at another event and she saw me and said hi. I took her to one of my favorite places the following weekend. We went on a movie date as an ITEM 3 weeks later and now you’ll be attending our wedding.
