It all began in March of 2022 when Oksana and I matched on Bumble. From the start, we both knew this was going to be something different. Our first date wasn’t your typical dinner and drinks. Instead, we decided to have some fun and challenge each other with handstands. As it turns out, Oksana was a lot better at it than I was! I tried my best, but she made it look effortless. We laughed a lot that day, and it was clear that this was going to be the start of something special. Our next adventure took us to a park for a game of frisbee, and what started as a casual game quickly turned into a hilarious chase when a dog decided to steal our frisbee and run off with it. We spent the next several days exploring the city together — walking through botanical gardens, admiring the cherry blossoms, playing frisbee in more parks, eating pasta at cozy spots, and even hiking in the snow. Every time we got together, there was a new adventure waiting, and each one brought us closer. A few weeks later, we went on a trip to Snoqualmie to visit the tulip festival. It was one of those perfect spring days: the fields were full of color, the air was fresh, and we found ourselves sitting down to share the biggest burger we’d ever seen. It was there, in the middle of the tulips, with full bellies and hearts even fuller, that we made it official. What started with handstands and frisbee chases turned into a journey of laughter, love, and unforgettable moments. Today, as we stand here on our wedding day, we’re ready for the next chapter — hand in hand, facing whatever life throws our way with the same joy, curiosity, and love that has always brought us together.
