We're Getting Married!

Amanda and Doug’s love story began in October 2021, thanks to a fateful swipe on Bumble (yes, we’re another dating app success story). Amanda was living in San Francisco at the time, and had her range set to match only with people nearby—but Doug lived in the East Bay, just outside that range. Luckily, she happened to be visiting the East Bay when they matched—call it fate or a well-timed trip across the bridge! On their first date, it was clear there was something special. They bonded over their shared love for tiki cocktails, musical theater, and exploring new places. By their second date, a hike along Land’s End in San Francisco, they knew they had found something worth holding onto. This spot became even more meaningful when Doug recreated this second date to propose to Amanda, bringing everything full circle. Today, they share a cozy spot in Oakland with their beloved fur babies: Burger, their adventurous pup, and Cashew, their affectionate cat, who Doug has lovingly embraced as his own. Whether traveling to new places, or enjoying a quiet night in watching game shows, Amanda and Doug have been inseparable ever since that first date. They can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!
