FAQs

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your guest name is listed on your invite or you have a plus one option listed when you RSVP, then yes! Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as intimate as possible with close friends and family.

Question

Can I bring children?

Answer

As we finalize our guest list, we wanted to let you know that we have decided to have young adults and adults only at our wedding. We hope you can understand that we would like to create an intimate atmosphere for all of our guests. We realize that this may impact your plans, and we want to make sure you have plenty of time to arrange for childcare. We hope that you will still be able to join us on this special day, and we look forward to celebrating with you. Thank you for your understanding and please let us know if you have any questions or concerns.

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

We hope to see everyone there! However, we know that's not always possible. If you are unable to make it, please reply to the RSVP as soon as possible (and by the deadline!) to let us know.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We are hosting an intimate wedding of our closest family and friends. We are requesting that our guests wear black — the fancier the better!

Question

When should we arrive to the venue?

Answer

We ask that all guests arrive 15 minutes before the ceremony start time of 3:30 PM. This ensures that guests will have some time to mingle and get seated. Please note that the venue is in downtown York. If you are driving to the venue, please allow ample time as this area is buzzing during this time of year and there may be some traffic.

Question

Is there parking if I am staying off-resort?

Answer

Yes. Complimentary valet is available upon arrival at Union Bluff. There is no self-parking. A small tip to your valet driver is generous but not required.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will both be located outside, weather-dependent. The ceremony will take place on the lawn to the right of the hotel. Coordinators and signage will be available to direct guests. Cocktail hour will take place on the patio above the meeting house (green building). The reception is indoors, steps from the patio. We are hopeful for a beautiful day, but please be aware that if conditions do not permit an outdoor ceremony or cocktail hour, we will move them indoors to ensure the comfort and safety of all guests.

Question

Where can I find a gift registry?

Answer

We wanted to let you know that your presence is the only gift we truly need. We have chosen not to have a traditional registry for this reason. We understand that you may still want to give us a gift to commemorate the occasion, but please know that this is completely optional. We do have a honeymoon fund listed on the registry page for those who feel like a gift is necessary, but again, it is not!
