Over a decade ago, Ryan and Taylor became friends on Myspace (yes, Myspace). Taylor commented on a photo that Ryan had a "great smile", then Ryan messaged her on AOL Instant Messenger (good ol' AIM) and asked for her phone number. After just ONE date, Ryan told Taylor that he loved her! Neither of them could deny that what they had was special and that it would last forever. They both feel so lucky to have grown up together, going on adventures they could have never imagined. They can't wait to be finally be husband and wife!
For the entirety of their relationship Taylor's family has celebrated the beginning of the holiday season by brunching and taking Christmas card photos at her aunt's house. For years Ryan and Taylor have taken pictures at this event. Being able to look at the photos over the years and seeing how they've changed has always been special. Knowing this is one of Taylor's favorite family traditions, and that this would be the first year they would send their own Christmas card, Ryan thought this would be the perfect day to propose. The day started out as normal, Taylor didn't suspect a thing! After enjoying some brunch with the family, it was time for Ryan and Taylor's Christmas card photo session. Uncharacteristically, Ryan took the lead on the photo shoot, deciding they should take photos in the front of the house this time. After a few minutes of photo taking, Ryan decided that they should take one last photo at the top of the stairs. Once they got to the top, Taylor turned around to see Ryan down on one knee and the letters "Marry Me?" spelled out in big sparkly red letters on the lawn. Tears and a "YES!" came very quickly.
