How we met!

It all started with a show.....

Daniel and Kristina found each other in the trenches of their undergraduate program in 2016 at the Aaron Copland School of Music. Daniel was playing percussion for the Musical Theater Clubs show that Kristina was performing in. From then it was a handful of exchanges of pleasant 'hellos' and 'how is theory going?' as we made our way through our program. Fast forward to spring semester of 2018, Kristina began to notice more of Daniel's handsome charm and humor. She noticed not only was this a God-fearing man, he was also incredibly charming. During that Summer on August 22 our love story blossomed from friendship to a Christ-centered love. We took the leap of faith to "Do this" forreal and we have continued to fall deeply in love. Through life's heartaches and tribulations we have stood together and are ready for the next chapter in our lives.

The Proposal

She is hard to surprise

Even a pending storm couldn't stop Daniel from putting a Ring on Kristina's finger. After months of planning and conspiring with friends, Daniel initial plan was thrown out the window due to a storm, that ended up being some light rain and wind. Daniel planned to propose where Kristina's mothers ashes were spread, Robert Moses Beach. Instead, they went to church in the morning, where the sermon was purposefully about love. After service, Daniel had to find ways to stall, because Daniel's apartment was being decorated with the help of Jay, Kaleb and Ivanna. He also had to stop at Wendy's and McDonald's because he had to give his best friend and Photographer, Jovanna, time to get into the apartment as well. After driving slowly, dragging his feet and finding parking, they made their way to the apartment. Kristina, already annoyed and hungry, which is not the best combination for her, wasn't expecting this at all. Daniel had told her on their anniversary, the day before, there would not be a proposal that weekend. They made their way up to the apartment, put their food down in the kitchen where she was surprised with a walkway of candles, exclaiming "what the heck is this!". She followed the path, saw the balloons spelling out "Marry Me" and turned around to find Daniel on one knee and busted out in happy tears. Needless to say, she said "Yes"

For all the days along the way
