Megan has known Ginger since 2013, when they met on the Douglas County High School golf team (with Jenna!). Since graduating from Georgia State University, Ginger has been working as a Respiratory Therapist at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. Megan and Ginger have had countless adventures in the 10 years since meeting, and in 2022, they took the trip of a lifetime to see Harry Styles perform (twice!) in Austin, TX!
Anthony Marando
Best Man
Evan and Anthony (“Anth”) first met in 1997 when Evan was born, and the two have been the best of friends since. As his younger brother, Evan has been inspired by Anthony in countless ways, crediting many of his interests, tastes, and catalogue of obscure movie references directly to Anthony. It was largely because of Anthony that Evan chose to pursue band through high school and attend UGA. In 2020, Evan had the privilege of being Anthony’s Best Man at his wedding! Since then, Anthony and his wife, Jillian, have welcomed their first child into the world!
Jenna Benitez
Bridesmaid
Megan and Jenna have known each other since 2011, where they met at Douglas County High School. They became close friends while on the golf team (with Ginger!) and remained good friends through college, despite going to different universities. After graduating from Kennesaw State University, Jenna was a high school teacher for several years, and in 2023, transitioned to a remote role in education. Megan had the pleasure of being a bridesmaid in Jenna's wedding in 2022!
Brandon Nguyen
Groomsman
Brandon and Evan first met while Evan was participating in Club Powerlifting at UGA, where the two spent many evenings at the university gym lifting heavy weights. Evan was quickly taken by Brandon’s welcoming and warm attitude (plus he knew all the great Korean BBQ spots!). Brandon graduated from UGA in the same semester as Evan with a degree in Sports Management, and he is now a lead curator at the College Football Hall of Fame in Atlanta!
Mallory Brooks
Bridesmaid
Megan and Mallory went to Douglas County High School together but did not become close friends until they attended the University of Georgia and lived in the same house for two years. They bonded over a love for Georgia football, Harry Potter, and cats. Megan was delighted to be one of Mallory's bridesmaids in 2021. Like Evan, Mallory graduated as a Doctor of Physical Therapy in the spring of 2023!
Sean Posey
Groomsman
Sean and Evan first met through a mutual friend who recommended that Sean join Evan and Megan's intramural ultimate frisbee team at UGA. Despite Sean being a UF alumnus and a Florida Gators fan, they quickly bonded over common interests like food and music. Sean has a PhD in Development Economics and has traveled to and learned about fascinating places and cultures. His next stop will be Nashville, TN where he’s accepted a job as a professor at Tennessee State University!
Kate Baskin
Bridesmaid
Megan and Kate also went to high school together, but their friendship did not blossom until their time at the University of Georgia. While living in the same house, they discovered their shared love of ABBA and the Mama Mia movies. Since graduating from UGA, Kate has worked in dermatology and is in her final year of school to become a Physician Assistant! In the spring of 2023, Megan and Kate were lucky enough to attend Taylor Swift's Eras Tour in Atlanta!
Adrian Goncerzewicz

Each being Exercise and Sport Science majors with intentions of going to PT school, Evan and Adrian shared many courses at UGA. However, it was not until they both began in Georgia State’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program that the stressors of graduate school brought them closer together. Early in the program, Evan and Adrian were paired as “learning partners,” and out of this, a strong friendship (and healthy rivalry) was born! Adrian is now a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy and ready to heal what ails you!
Addison Rice
Flower Girl/Junior Bridesmaid
Addison is Megan's cousin and is already taller than her, despite only being 12 years old! Addison is a bright young lady, who plays piano and flute, and enjoys swimming and camping with her family. The cousins share a love for cats and Halloween. Addison is extremely creative, and if she does not attend SCAD, Megan hopes to persuade her to go to UGA someday (Go Dawgs).
Jacob Marando
Ring Bearer
Not to be confused with Jacob the Officiant, Jacob the Ring Bearer has the distinct honor of being the tiniest and cutest member of the wedding party. He is the son of Anthony (Best Man) and his wife, Jillian. Jacob was born on Megan's 25th birthday and will have just turned 2 years old the week before the wedding. Jacob likes long walks in his stroller and as much pool-time as he can get!
Jacob Emerson
Officiant
Jacob and Evan were matched as freshman-year roommates at UGA, and they hit the ground running by attending a rave together after only meeting once previously. They lived together for two years, and during that time, he was present for the beginning of Evan and Megan's relationship. In the summer of 2016, Evan and Jacob studied abroad for two months in Germany, and then they traveled for two weeks after the program ended. In 2023, Jacob graduated from UGA with his Master's in Linguistics!
