Wedding Gathering

We have selected a unique location for our ceremony. So for those wanting to attend, everyone will have to be shuttled to the peak. We are making parking arrangements and travel arrangements to get everyone up there with ease! The gathering is designed to make sure everyone gets up there, is comfortable, and on time. There will be no alcoholic drinks served due to our elevation. What you can handle at home is not what you can handle at 11,000 ft. Please be respectful of our wish for no drinking before our ceremony.
Handfasting

The couple will be sealing thier union with Viking traditions. A handfasting will be preformed, an ancient tradition that literally binds them together whilst they exchange vows (it's where the term tying the knot comes from!) Along with exchanging rings to symbolize thier vows, they will also be exchanging swords. Amy's sword to Jacob will be given to represent the passing of protection and guidance from father to husband. Jacob's sword to Amy is given for safekeeping, so that it may be passed on to their child.
Viking Feast!

Parking areas will be displayed visibly as you enter the venue. If there is a parking attendant be sure to abide his signals please. Make sure you stop by our gift table to sign our guest book and snap a Polaroid! Feel free to seat yourselves, we encourage mingling, only the wedding party will have reserved seating. The only thing we ask is that everyone fills in the seats in order, leave no gaps, fill the outside tables before the inner tables, it will make more sense once you arrive! There will be rune rocks at the tables, once you claim your seat place one on your plate so others know it is taken. Help yourself to drinks and snacks before the feast. We will have a bridal race between the groom and groomsmen, another Viking tradition! Loser will serve our feast! During dinner we will have toasts! We will be toasting with our bridal mead that Jacob and I are making together! Father daughter dance, Jacob and Amy's first dance, and dancing for all to follow!

*LOCATION IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE! Due to: Brian Head fire damage. Celebrations will not stop at our reception! Hot dogs, hamburgers, s'mores, drinks and good friends surrounding a campfire! Come comfortable and be mindful that the temperature will drop as the sun goes down. If you would like to follow us there we will meet at the KB express gas station in Parowan, we will pull out at 4:40 an no later!
