This love story started in 2015, Damilola: There are always two sides to every story, but here is my side of the story. Sometime in 2015, somewhere far from home in Otuoke, Bayelsa State, I met this random dude at UBA bank ATM in school and he cracked a joke about how he wanted to help me withdraw my money and that was how we met, lol. Every time I saw him after that I would jokingly tell my best friend how this dude wanted to take my money and make it so loud for him to hear and that’s how we became friends. This boy started following me around campus, lol, I was just like what’s going on bro? That was the beginning of a journey of 9 years that would eventually end up in matrimony, who would have thought? All through the years, we had our ups and downs like any couple but we lived through it building friendship, trust, and a bond that can last forever💕. *** Ogechukwu: So, one day (noon lecture break), I went to the ATM back in school to withdraw some money and I met this very dazzling innocent-looking girl with all the right curves in the right places and I just knew I wanted this person in my life. So, I cracked a joke about helping her withdraw her money and she laughed and was very friendly after. I mean, I knew I had great humour to pull off that stunt but Franklin (My best friend) always watered it down 😒. Eventually, we went on to become friends and I started getting really attracted to her while facing my studies obviously (just so you don’t think I wasn’t serious with my books lol). I mean this girl ticked all the boxes, she was smart, funny, and had this seamless black beauty, what attracted me also was these lines around her neck (I call it “Ring Neck”) to crown it all she was like the brightest accounting student so good thing for me. Hey, baby thanks for all you did for me during those accounting exams. You saved a soul 🤣. And so, I started hanging around her and her friend just to mark my territory in school so no guy thinks they have a chance. At this moment let’s raise a glass to Lizzy for her role in the territorial marking 🙌 With time, I knew I needed to make my feelings known to her because it was killing me inside acting like her friend and always being around her while knowing some other guys were actually shooting their shots. So, I took the courage to ask her out and this girl told me ‘No’, that she wasn’t ready for a relationship until she was in 400 level, Lmao, what a joker🤡. Anyways, I told her I would wait but I spent more time with her, in and outside of school just to let her know I was damn serious about my intentions, and the rest, as they say, is history. *** Damilola: And on this special day, we went out and when I least expected he was planning something like that, he brought out a little red box, and popped the unforgettable "Ask" to be his wife and this time, I said “Yes!” cause why not… And today, in the presence of God and man, we are so happy to celebrate this love and friendship with our families and loved ones. So, cheers to a lifetime of love, happiness, and everything in between 🥂.
