Mount Bonnell is a beautiful look out point atop a hill. It is hidden within in the city overlooking the Colorado river. It is a short walk up a couple flights of stone stairs and a good spot for a lunch picnic and a few selfies
Obvious to most, this is Shannon's favorite place in the city. We highly recommend visiting the Texas Capital. If you have a rental car, there is free parking at the Capitol Visitors Parking Garage located at this address: 1201 San Jacinto Blvd, Austin, TX 78701 There are also free guided tours of the grounds that start every 30 - 45 minutes and last about 30 minutes
This is a perfect spot to watch the sunset. You will want to have your own car to get out here, there is a bit of a drive. There is a restaurant and brewery. If you chose to go, make sure to arrive at least 45- 60 minutes before the sunset so that you can get a table to sit at with a good view.
Matt's is a staple for Austin with some of the BEST queso you can get (Bob Armstrong Dip). We highly suggest you make a stop for some Asadero tacos and queso. Please note they are closed on Tuesday. We have made that mistake before
The boardwalk is 13.5 miles in total. It is a walk and bike trail. This trail has beautiful views of down town and a handful of spots to stop and rent a paddleboard for an hour
Rowing dock is a popular spot to rent kayaks and paddle boards. There is ample parking near the Rowing Dock
The greenbelt is a beautiful hiking spot with a flowing river (when we get rain). There is also a swimming spot towards the end of the hike
This is where the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception will be taking place
