OUR STORY

It all started in 2016 with a little liquid courage at our best friend’s wedding.. and the rest is history! We both knew pretty soon after we met that we had a good thing going. After a year of dating long distance, Christina moved her life from NYC to Boston. We loved working and playing in the city, but looked forward to spending our weekends in Connecticut. After couch surfing our way through Mystic for some time, Jimmy purchased a fixer upper in Noank and we began doing weekend projects to turn the house into our home. In 2020, we moved our life to Connecticut fulltime and the highlight of our relationship has been raising our fur baby, Tilly, the golden retriever from Fishers Island. We’re so excited to *offishally* be married and continue to build our life together!

THE PROPOSAL

We have both always loved the July 4th holiday - each growing up in small coastal towns, we had our own summer traditions that included backyard barbeques, local parades, and fireworks. We’ve been celebrating in Groton Long Point for years, soaking up the summer fun and creating our own traditions. On July 4, 2020, after a long day of barbequing, we went out on the boat to watch the fireworks. We anchored right off of Fishers Island and with perfect timing, Jimmy got down on one knee right before the grand finale and proposed!

OUR WEDDING

We always knew we’d get married in Groton Long Point (GLP). It's where Jimmy grew up and his parents still reside. The small coastal community reminds Christina of where she grew up - surrounded by water, beaches, and locals who take pride in their hometown. The GLP ‘Casino' is the town's community space, filling its walls with celebration, laughter, and love. We are thrilled to host our wedding there, as it’s like a right of passage in this area. With the uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, we have decided to keep our wedding small (~110 guests). We do not want to postpone and hope that by June we will be safe to gather together in celebration and also virtually. We are taking all of the precautions to ensure the safety of our guests and will be updating this website to provide transparency as we get closer to our big day. Thank you for your patience!
