Our story began in New York City thanks to a mutual friend, Jen (aka Pirate), back in September of 2011. Robert was in the city for work and Allison had just moved to Queens to start a new job. Robert invited Jen out to Brazil Fest and asked her to bring single friends. To be honest it was more of a demand than an ask as he would not tell her where he was unless she brought someone. So, she asked Allison, her single housemate and coworker. This was also more of a demand than an ask, but she got Allison to go out after much convincing and promises of dinner. Turns out that everyone’s shady tactics were really just fate. After a few more group outings, we finally went on our first date to Coney Island. It was there, over some corn dogs and a Tool cover band that we knew we had something truly special.

Fast forward through the long distance relationship, the three cities we have lived in, and our countless adventures to October 13, 2019. We went out to the Black Rock Desert to get away from it all. There wasn’t another person for miles. We started talking about how amazing it is that we can do these sort of things with eachother and how lucky we are. Then, In the middle of the Black Rock Playa, Robert got down on one knee and asked to make it permanent. We are so deeply in love and can not wait to celebrate with our friends and family this fall.
