Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Hopefully sunny! It'll be August during a Minnesota summer, so it can really fluctuate, but likely an average of 70-75 degrees F.

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception are on the grounds of the Grand View Lodge.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be outside. There is a hill and many steps that you will need to walk down to access the ceremony site. If you require wheelchair access or other special accommodations, please let us know so we can arrange an assist for you for the ceremony! The reception will be indoors and is about a 2 minute walk away from the ceremony site!

Question

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception center and enjoy a cocktail hour out on the patio.

Question

What should I do if I can’t make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive 30-45 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled!

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Parking is free! There are various lots that guests can park at for no fee on the resort!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
