Ethan and Alexa met early in high school, where what began as a friendship quickly grew into something truly special. After spending time getting to know each other, they started dating in December of their sophomore year in 2017, not knowing just how much life they would end up sharing. After graduating high school, they both went to the University of Iowa and continued growing up together while chasing their own goals. Alexa headed to pharmacy school and Ethan to physical therapy school, learning how to balance busy schedules, long days, and big dreams with the help of each other—and the incredible friends and family who have supported them every step of the way. Along the way, they moved in together and added their dog, Lulu, who quickly became the heart of their home. On May 17, 2025, Ethan convinced Alexa she was going to a wine tasting, only to completely surprise her with a proposal instead. The night ended with an after-party surrounded by friends and family, making it a moment they’ll never forget. Now, they’re so excited to start this next chapter together and feel incredibly lucky to celebrate with the people they love most.
