Laura and James met in Indianapolis at pick-up ultimate frisbee. Living only one block apart in downtown Indy, we started carpooling together and quickly became friends. As friends we played D&D, tried out new board games, went to haunted houses (Laura was really only there to hang out with James!), and continued playing ultimate frisbee together. That spring Laura had plans to do a medical mission trip to Haiti, an international medical rotation in El Salvador, and a spring break trip with classmates in the Dominican Republic. Right before Laura left for 2 months of international travel, she got mumps and James cared for her while her face was swollen and painful, and (finally) asked her on an official date! Laura then came back to the start of the COVID lock-down and we quarantined together. In our six years together, we have moved from Indy to Cincinnati and back to Indianapolis. We have met so many amazing people through ultimate frisbee, our education and careers, D&D, and because Laura wants to be everyone’s friend! We have also had so many adventures, done most of the escape rooms within 100 miles of Indianapolis, and hosted some super fun murder mysteries.
