FAQs

Question

When should I book my accommodations?

Answer

We encourage you to book your accommodations as soon as possible, once you receive the Save the Date. Since it's summer season on Cape Cod, we strongly advise booking as early as possible. Please refer to the 'Guest Accommodations' tab for more information about where to stay and associated cancellation terms.

Question

What date/time are all the events?

Answer

Timelines and more information will be shared as planning progress is made. Please refer back to this website again closer to the date for updated information. Our hopes for the wedding are that you enjoy the destination without pressure of attending all events, but we also have some exciting ideas on the horizon!

Question

What Is the weather like? What do I pack to the Cape?

Answer

New England weather can be quite unpredictable! In August, it'll usually be very hot and humid during the day. So you'll want to pack sandals, dresses, and shorts. Don't forget your sunglasses, sunscreen & pool/beach essentials! After the sun sets, it usually stays warm that time of year. If traveling, I'd bring "your best Cape Cod" sweater just in case it gets chilly at night. And possibly a long dress, white pants, and/or jeans. Mosquitos may come out at dusk, so you're welcome to bring bug spray. Lastly, you may want to bring an umbrella to keep in the room or car. Although we're hoping for no rain, you'll want to have an umbrella for the weekend, as most shopping centers are outside.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Wedding: Attire is Cape Cod Formal. The ceremony will take place on the Grand Lawn, so wedges, block heel or flats are encouraged. Long, tea length or short dresses are all great options. You may also want to bring a light jacket or shawl for the evening if it cools down, just in case, although likely won't be needed. Men are welcome to wear a suit or tux if preferred.

Question

Is the event outside or inside?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail parties are expected to occur outside without a covering. However, if it rains, they will move inside to the Pavilion, which is the same space as the wedding reception. The reception will be held inside, but with open accordion doors, if weather allows.

Question

Is the bar an open tab? Do I need to bring cash or credit?

Answer

The cocktail party and reception will have a full, open bar all evening. ENJOY!

Question

Any special meal requests or food allergies we should be aware of?

Answer

We will send all allergy information to the caterer and wedding planner to keep in mind, throughout the entire weekend.

Question

Is there Uber & Lyft on Cape Cod?

Answer

Yes! There's also local taxi companies in the area too as backup. Please plan accordingly, as demand may increase at the end of the event, when everyone departs the venue. We suggest carpooling when you can.

Question

Is Airbnb on Cape Cod?

Answer

Yes! Airbnb, VRBO, Weneedavacation.com, etc. are available on the Cape. Most vacation rentals have a 2N minimum stay in August. Larger accommodations, such as houses, typically have a 7N minimum stay.
