Dear reader listens up and lean in close because this is about a love like no other. A devotion like you rarely witness these days. Two people walking hand in hand committed to the will of God and love for one another. Reverend Joel Sejour, Sr. and First lady Odine Sejour are the embodiment of walking by faith to fulfill God's will, God’s way. Their legacy runs deep, how deep you might ask? Let’s try to take a moment to divulge the magnitude of their legacy. They are the proud grandparent 22 grandchildren 1 great-grand child, served thousands in ministry through their lifelong service in the Church of the Nazarene. They have been father and mother to hundreds of local church members over their 36 years of pioneering the illustrious Miami Deliverance Church of the Nazarene. What’s more, they traveled the globe by land, air and sea together preaching, teaching, and laying hands on the children of God. Joel and Odine’s union stand as a model to countless couples. They did not come to this point in their lives blindly, no they did so with eyes wide open. If you ask them, they will say they are most proud of their six children who they brag about endlessly. I will try to describe the children like Odine would in describing her children. Joel and Odine have a world-renowned philanthropist and lover of people. A genius tech with the biggest heart and muscles. An award-winning compassionate and unmatched first responder in the emergency response field. A decorated award-winning police sergeant who looks and act like his daddy. Oh, and let’s not forget a regional director and groundbreaking medical doctor. Finally, a fierce, no nonsense attorney blazing trails all through the southeast region of the nation who they say is just like her mom. How do I know so well? I am one the sixth child of their wonderful union. Joel and Odine met in Nassau, Bahamas in Metropolitan church of the Nazarene around 1969. Odine's father was the senior pastor and bishop of the church. Yes, she was raised a pastors' daughter. Her father, Bishop Massillon Pierre was the pioneer of the Nazarene denomination in Haiti, look it up he is in the Church of the Nazarene history books. become either a doctor or a lawyer because she was too bright. What Bishop did not know his plan for Odine, God already ordained for bishop’s next generation. Won't He do it! (Praise break) Not only are they faithful to God but they are truly best friends. They are inseparable. I mean completely inseparable. Anyone who know Pastor Joel knows First lady. Throughout their years they have always worked side by side. From factory jobs, insurance salespeople, real estate, and ministry. You may think well there is no way two people can always be around each other every single moment. Believe me and ask anyone who knows this couple, they have always been and are still inseparable. If they are not together then they are on the phone with one another. They are so intertwined that they can only eat half of any meal because they are so used to sharing. Joel and Odine do not attribute their 50 years of blessings and favor to their own power or ability. They always give God the glory and honor for all of their achievements. They are active in the lives of their 6 children, 22 grandchildren and great grandchild. If you get a chance to meet them you will see how the love of God runs through their veins and spills out to everyone they meet.
