Odeth and Nicholas met while both pursuing a career in veterinary medicine. Having both started at VCA West Suburban Veterinary Hospital within one month of each other, Odeth and Nick managed to learn and grow in their careers together while building an initial friendship. In 2021, Nick planned on spending the holidays at his mom and Frank’s place, but needed to find someone to watch his dog, Bailey. He had one person in mind who would he trusted to care for Bailey properly and that was Odeth. While Nick was away, Odeth would come and take care of Bailey as often as she could sending him updates and pictures along the way. She even went as far as to tell Bailey that she would one day be his mom (obviously she spoke this into existence). Over the coming months, Nick and Odeth grew even closer and started to feel a deeper connection to one another. Following some help from their coworkers and friends(thanks Leslie and Shelby), Nick was convinced to come out to Odeth’s birthday celebration. He would find out later that this was all set up just so him and Odeth could hang out outside of work. Eventually there was no denying the strong connection they felt for each other. Nick finally asked Odeth out in April of 2022. Sharing their love for animals, music, family, and their general quirkiness, they both knew they were in this relationship for the long haul. From family White Sox outings, trips to Ocean City and Mexico, golfing, concerts, and everything else in between, Odeth and Nick knew they had found their best friends in life in each other. Following 3.5 years of dating, Nick and Odeth got engaged in August of 2025.
