Question

What are some things to do in the area?

Answer

Great question. We made a Google Map for you to see best places to eat, stay, drink, and explore! It includes all our favorite spots in Portland, including museums, gardens, beaches, breweries, wineries, waterfalls, hikes and more. Enjoy! https://maps.app.goo.gl/tUy8XJ8TnXBuQdVT7

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

If you're flying in, we recommend arriving to Oregon by July 4th at the latest. If you live in the area, you do you, boo. Ceremony arrival time is 4:30 PM on July 5th. We'll see you there. ;)

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

RSVP by June 1, please. :) You can do so via the RSVP link on this website.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at the ceremony between 4:30 and 4:45 PM. If you like, you can purchase a beverage from Gorges Beer and bring it with you to the ceremony to enjoy. Additional beverages and food will be provided during cocktail hour immediately following the ceremony.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. Please dress in cocktail or semi-formal attire. No shorts or flip-flops! If you would like to dress in our wedding colors, ask us for the palette.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

All guests must have an RSVP. If you did not receive a plus one on your invite, but - let's say - you started dating someone and, we don't want to assume things, but it's getting kind of serious. Cool - just reach out and let us know before June 1, and we'll happily accommodate you. If it's after June 1, they'll have to pass our series of tests. It might get weird. ("It will get weird." - Alex)

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! Children of all ages are welcome. From the freshest of the babes to the tweeny boppers and beyond. We are planning to hire a babysitter for the parents who want to get DOWN (on the dance floor). We're also planning to provide a private space for breastfeeding mothers.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! The Best Western in Cascade Locks is the best hotel closest to the venue. It's about a quarter-mile from the venue and very walkable (if that's your thing). Please see our Travel page for hotel recommendations or check out the Google Map link provided there and at the top of the FAQ.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking at and near the venue.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Most of our wedding food will be gluten-free, but we can accommodate additional food allergies as well. Just let us know in your RSVP!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Due to the nature of the hotels in the area and guests staying in different places, we recommend that guests procure their own form of transportation. If you're staying at the Best Western in Cascade Locks, that will be the closest to the venue (one quarter-mile). There are not many Ubers in this area, so Ubers would need to be scheduled to/from the Portland area. If you would like to coordinate rides with others staying in the area, please let us know. We are happy to help form a carpool list.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

There is a Welcome BBQ in Stevenson, WA on the Fourth of July for those already in town. Please join us for a Fourth celebration! If you plan to attend, please RSVP on the website.
