Our story began back in 2021, when people were still wearing masks and I was swearing off dating anyone. Jacob definitely wasn’t on my radar—but sometimes life has other plans. Thanks to a growing friendship with my now-best friend Madison, I started spending more time around him. Slowly, his kindness and calm presence started to shine through, and I realized there was something different about him. By the end of October, he asked me out—dinner on a boat, no less—and from that day on, everything just felt right. A few months later, he moved to Texas, and we began a long-distance chapter that would challenge us and ultimately bring us closer. Through every visit, every long call, and every goodbye at the airport, we learned how to love each other deeply, even from miles apart. What makes our relationship so special is how much it feels like the kind of friendship you never want to end. Jacob is truly my favorite person. Whether we’re lying on the floor doing absolutely nothing or at an amusement park where I’ve just forced him onto a rollercoaster, he’s the best company I could ask for! He says yes to my wild ideas, makes every ordinary moment feel fun, and still opens my doors, pays for my meals, and takes excellent care of our dog, Kacey. He’s also incredibly patient with my Type A personality and has always supported my big dreams—even when I moved to Minnesota for a year-long internship, he made the trip to visit me. And I’ll never forget the time we were starving at an aquarium, but he insisted we wait an extra hour just so I could safely touch a jellyfish—my spirit animal. That’s the kind of love he gives: thoughtful, gentle, and steady. Now, after years of long-distance and a short, very hot chapter living in Texas (don’t ask), Jacob is moving to Tennessee, and we can finally begin our everyday life together. We are so excited to start so many new chapters together under one roof. Our plans to go run away to Las Vegas and get hitched at a White Wedding Chapel changed. So, we have decided to get married on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in Tennessee. If you are seeing this website, you are invited to celebrate this new chapter with us! We can’t wait to see and party with the people we love most — Our Family!
I first met Evelyn in 2021 after getting the chance to move to Tennessee. The state was so beautiful — from its tall mountains to its endless trees — I spent most of my free time hiking the trails. One day, a mutual friend mentioned someone who knew some great hiking spots. The way she talked about her was a bit intimidating; I imagined a gruff mountain lady who would leave me behind if I was slowing her down. But to my surprise, I met this small but strong woman with smiley eyes and a quiet confidence that drew people in. With a handshake, the beginning of our relationship was off and running. From finally building up the courage to ask her out, every moment since has felt like it was leading somewhere special. One of my favorite memories is when Evelyn surprised me with a trip to the World of Coke — easily one of the best dates she’s ever taken me on. I was so excited, like a kid again, and we had a blast trying all the sodas from around the world — even the ones we had to immediately spit out. It was goofy, unexpected, and absolutely perfect. Over the next few years, our long-distance relationship took us all over — from Texas to Tennessee, Minnesota to Illinois. And with every goodbye, every airport hug, and every call to plan the next visit, our love only grew stronger. It became clear that for Evelyn and me, it was only a matter of time. Now, with all our adventures behind us (and so many more ahead), it’s time to tie the knot — and start the next chapter of our story together.
