The Proposal

10.02.2021

On October 2nd, 2021, Justin and Megan went to an event called The Lights Fest located in Coatesville, PA with their two best friends, Nikki and Andrew. The Light Fest is all day event where you get to light lanterns into the sky at night as in the Disney movie Tangled (One of Megan’s favorite Disney princess movies). During the day, you get to draw or write on the lanterns. Megan drew a Flamingo with the letter G in the wing on our lantern to dedicate to Justin’s late grandma, Florence Luginsland, who passed away that year. Please check out our video above to see what happens next.

Our Story

9.22.2013

Early in the first semester of 2013, a large group of friends went bowling in Milford, CT to celebrate the birthday of Castel Jean-Francois. Justin, with his roommate and a few new teammates, decided it would be a good idea to join the group thinking it would be a fun way to branch out to non-lacrosse playing classmates. When Justin arrived he was excited and buzzing around as he usually does. He was ready to casually compete with everyone. He thought he was going to do well and enjoy badgering everyone with some playful smack talk. However, he was very wrong. Megan had also decided to go out for the night to spend time with her new friends and celebrate the occasion. She knew it would be fun, because she had been bowling for her whole life with her family. She was lights out while she delivered a smack down to her new friends. After what seemed like the 100th strike, Justin thought it would be a good idea to try to "bother" Megan and get her off her game. He failed miserably in trying to win the match, but succeeded in catching Megan's Eye. In the coming days Justin and Megan competed and pestered each other at every turn, constantly taking turns winning and losing whatever trivial games they played. After a short amount of time they both realized they weren't competing to win their silly games, they were competing to win each other's hearts. The two went to Albertus Magnus thinking sports would be their passion, but instead they fell passionately in love. It was their competitive drive that brought them together, and that same drive has and will continue to push them to be the best teammate, friend, companion, fiancé and soon to be spouse that either of them could have ever dreamed for.
