FAQs

If you have any other questions that aren't listed below please feel free to call or text either Shannon, Greg, or our moms!
Question

Is your wedding taking place at the SLS Brickell or the Dua Miami, Autograph Collection Hotell?

Answer

That is a great question! The answer depends on whether you ask before or after March 28, 2024. When we secured our wedding venue in June 2023, the hotel was called the SLS Brickell Hotel. In October 2023 the hotel was sold to Marriott, and as of March 28, 2024 the hotel has been converted to the Dua Miami as part of the Autograph Collection portfolio under Marriott. We have been ensured that this will have no impact to our weekend events by the staff. So no sweat if you see both or either name, you'll be in the right place!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP no later than September 28, 2024.

Question

Will any part of the wedding be near or on the beach?

Answer

No. None of our wedding day events will take place near or on the beach. This is very much a downtown/city venue and vibe. We do highly recommend checking out some of the beach recommendations we've added to our Things To Do page if you have the time outside of wedding events.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held at the Dua Miami, Autograph Collection Hotel (formerly the SLS Hotel-Brickell), so we will not be providing transportation to or from our wedding ceremony. In addition to the Dua Miami, there are a number of other hotels within walking distance, and Uber & Lyfts are readily available in the area. For more details, please reference our Travel page.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We plan to host our ceremony and cocktail hour on the Dua Miami Hotel pool deck on the shaded side of the pool deck. In the event of rain (historically a 20% chance), the ceremony will be hosted inside the hotel. Dinner and dancing will be held inside the Dua Miami Hotel ballroom.

Question

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

The dress code for our evening wedding is formal/black tie invited (tuxedo or suits for men and knee or midi-length dresses or evening gowns for women) in any color, including black. Our biggest wish is that everyone comes feeling like they look their best!

Question

What color will the Bridesmaids be wearing?

Answer

The bridesmaids will be wearing a deep red-orange color called Spice. Use that information however you see fit!

Question

I have a food allergy or dietary restriction can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes please! Please let us know when you RSVP if you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions and we will be sure to accommodate accordingly

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids but thought you might like a night off. We hope you will understand our decision to make the wedding children-free.
