We met in Baton Rouge, while I was in college and TJ was teaching at the time. I swiped right and it was a match! I asked if TJ wanted to come help Bailey, and me hang our Christmas lights up on our house and he said yes.
Our Saturday morning plans usually consisted of walking our sheepadoodle, Griffey, on the nature trails at the Houston Arboretum. When TJ suggested we go on that Saturday to get Griffey’s energy out before the Tigers played that night, I didn’t think anything of it. The walk started out normal but TJ mentioned that Griffey had something stuck on his collar. I stopped to look at it and he was wearing a heart-shaped tag that read “will you marry my daddy?” I turned around and he was down on one knee with the ring.
