This year, my home city of Taunton will hold the Lighting of the Green on December 3rd. Perfect timing for those coming from out of town to catch a glimpse of the Christmas City all lit up for the holidays! While it's about a 40 minute drive from Providence, it's well worth it for the Christmas cheer! The Lighting of the Green has been a Taunton tradition since 1914. The displays are new and old, Christmas music plays throughout the center of the city, and there are many restaurants nearby to grab dinner while you're there. Blake and I highly recommend El Mariachi, which is right downtown, you can't miss it!
Worth the drive to Foxboro to check out Patriot Place! Check out the Patriots store, the beautiful stadium, all of the shops, and the MANY restaurants and bars!
Check out the linked website on the Providence WaterFire Holiday Celebration! A beautiful lighting of.... you guessed it..... fires on the water! There's music, hot chocolate, and local vendors offering anything from food to artwork!
