It’s not too often you find the person you’re going to marry in high school, but our story begins when we were still kids a year away from graduation. In high school we were a bit wild, but we fell so deeply in love that we couldn’t help but stay together through thick and thin. Rachel went away to school in Alabama and Spencer went away to Ohio. We spent nearly 2 years apart during college, but eventually both transferred to attend colleges in Chicago …purely for academic purposes of course. We moved in together and worked in restaurants and hotels while getting our degrees. Rachel attended art school with her interesting friends, Spencer studied economics. Our differences compelled us to talk and share our thoughts often, and our similarities bound us closer together. We make each other smarter, kinder, and better people. By this time, we had fallen in love with traveling almost as much as we had fallen in love with each other. We planned an epic trip to backpack Asia together after college, and we did it! Since our relationship began, we’ve traveled to nearly 25 countries together, and the adventure is only beginning… After college, we’ve moved a lot! From Fort Collins, back to Chicago, down to Jacksonville, and back to Denver, it’s been an amazing few years. After 8 years together, during a trip to the beautiful Amalfi coast in Italy, Spencer proposed to Rachel in a lemon orchard. We have grown from kids to adults together, and we will never stop growing. We are so excited to celebrate with all of our friends and family throughout our wedding season!
