We first met at Michigan State University in 2011. It wasn't until several years later that we reconnected and realized we had something special! On one of our first dates, Katie thought she blew it after tripping and falling at the first restaurant and then breaking a glass at the second restaurant. We were able to make it through that and continued the trips back and forth every weekend from Chicago to Grand Rapids for over a year until Katie moved to Grand Rapids last August.
