Caleb had known my brothers since playing elementary football with them. I didn’t know who he was until one day we were at the swimming pool and the Kasian boys were there. Next thing we knew was that the whole group was kicked out of the pool because Caleb and another guy were fighting in the pool. I didn’t talk to Caleb until later in high school at little get-togethers in Belfield. Fast forward to a year before we started dating, we became good friends. He always showed up for me, such as my 21st birthday, family ski trip in South Dakota, and random outings. In July of 2024, we had our first date, aka showing up to my house in Bubba’s homemade convertible Corsica with an 8-inch tip…. I could hear him from Belfield. Then we went for a drive, where he showed me his house project that would become our future house. On the way back, he got a flat tire. He didn’t have any tools to fix it in the vehicle and had to call my brother to save us. After that, he asked me to go to the state fair with his aunt, her boyfriend, and Camren. I asked him to go to my cousin Brady and Kylee’s wedding, where he finally asked me to be his girlfriend and where we shared our first kiss. We have been on many adventures ever since. We have worked together beside his dad to help him remodel Caleb’s house. He took me dirt biking for the first time in Glendive, and also took me down the hill with my first broken bone at the same time. Caleb has supported me through my first year of teaching, my master’s degree, and everything life has thrown at me for the last two years.
