Flashback to January 2nd, 2018 and picture Kristen and Austin on their first day of grad school in Buies Creek, North Carolina. Orientation day with the classic icebreaker of "turn to someone you haven't met yet, introduce yourself and tell them why you wanted to become a Physical Therapist". Turns out Austin is sitting directly in front of Kristen and turns around to introduce himself (and that was the official first meeting). Fast forward a few months and a few flirtations later, Hurricane Florence rolls through North Carolina and Kristen and Austin spend a week holed up in Raleigh to stay safe. If they could make it through a hurricane they could make it through anything! After grad school, it's long distance for nearly 2.5 years before Austin makes the decision to move from Lititz, PA to Chicago, IL and join Kristen in the city. After a year of living together in Roscoe Village, Austin makes the best decision of his life to propose to Kristen on the riverwalk followed by a surprise party with all of their friends and family in town to celebrate! And the rest is history...
