Gracie and Bobby met like a fairytale, or any cheesy Hallmark movie. On May 25th, 2019 they met at the .Zack, at a theatre show, where Bobby was running the box office and Gracie was coming on account of a free ticket. - When Gracie walked in, Bobby stated, "it was like Fall walked through the door with her green dress and orange-tinted hair". He stated "I have to know her", even before he knew her name. As Gracie got her ticket, Bobby exclaimed "Welcome to Brittanie and Bobby's box office bonanza!", to which there was a laugh and a smile from Gracie for right then she knew she was smitten. After she had moved away from the box office, Bobby approached the circle she was standing in with some friends, only to be introduced to her by a friend stating, "This is Gracie the actress. Have you met my friend Bobby?" - Right away, they locked eyes and both knew they had found "their forever". However, the night's shenanigans continued with Gracie and Bobby never quite connecting with more than a glance, until they went up to the 3rd level of the venue where they entered a little bar called Sophie's and got the chance to sit together on a loveseat and play a game with their actor friends called Trivial Pursuit. However, while Bobby left to get a drink, Gracie made like Cinderella when the clock struck midnight. Upon his return, and realizing she had left, he feared he had missed his shot at asking for her number. Thankfully, due to modern-age technology and Facebook, he popped up on her "friends you may know" feed while she was getting in her car to drive away. With one click of a button, Gracie and Bobby were reconnected, never to be separated again. - Their first date one week later (on June 1st, 2019) consisted of mini golf and New Girl, which lead to a thousand more adventures and a whole lot of love. Until December 26th, 2022, when they would start the adventure of a lifetime... but that's another story ;)
(This event is documented by the title picture) - The engagement was another fairytale, if you will. Bobby knew the importance of having Gracie's family in town when the day came. So he worked diligently behind the scenes to make everything perfect, all while keeping Gracie very out of the loop. He started with Gracie's sister (Elizabel) and brother-in-law (Peter), who lived out of town in Colorado. On the couple's visit for Halloween earlier that year, Bobby had a private conversation when them stating, "I need you both to come for Christmas". On December 26th, 2022, the day started with picking out the outfit for the day. The previous day, everyone had all received festively-matching Christmas sweaters, which were decided to be the outfit for the day's events. So after dressing, the couple headed over to her mom's house where the rest of the family was waiting. The day was comprised of playing various card and board games, eating and drinking lots of festive foods and beverages, and then heading out around 6ish to see the lights at the Botanical Garden. Everyone except Gracie knew what was coming and was a little worried when the snow made its appearance on the drive across town. However, it timed out perfectly when it suddenly stopped as the party entered the Gardens. As it was around 19 degrees that night, everyone bundled tightly and proceeded to make a small fuss about Gracie's placement of her scarf, purse, and coat. The group proceeded around the garden, taking note of the beautiful lights and decorations, all the while, Heather and Bobby were scoping out the best place to ask "the question" with the perfect photo opportunity. Elizabel, Peter, and William proceeded to be great distractions for Gracie with the random announcements for "picture time" and questioning Gracie on her thoughts of this or that lighting arrangement. Once the group had gone around the Gardens, Bobby had found the perfect spot when he remember noticing Gracie's awe of one of the lights which looked like a weeping willow tree, which has always been a shared favorite of the couple since they started dating. Bobby and Heather announced, "once more around!" and proceeded to the spot. When they got there, another "picture time!" was announced by Elizabel, but this time it was for real. Taking pictures first of all the girls, then all the guys, and then of the couples, Bobby noticed the crowd of people had dispersed and led Gracie to the perfect spot underneath the weeping willow light. The joke that will live on forever in our minds is that, after the couple was done taking (what seemed to be) a nice picture for the memory books, Bobby stated "Oh! Gracie! You're shoes untied!", and knelt down on the perfectly snow-covered ground. Gracie turned to her shoes and just as she did, Bobby produced a small white box and started with "Gracie...". As she exploded into laughter and a small number of tears in knowing what was coming next, and realizing how her shoes did not in fact have laces to be untied, Bobby said "Gracie Rose Sartin. I love you so much, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" The family cheered as a "Yes!" was exclaimed, the ring was placed on her finger, and a kiss was exchanged. From there, once more around the garden the couple went, taking photo opts everywhere to show off the new seal of forever - a blue-green sapphire placed in a rose gold band with small diamonds sprinkled around ... exactly, and better, than what Gracie had imagined!
A story yet to be written... We can't wait for you all to witness it!
