Hiking Blue Ridge Parkway
There are endless hiking trails all throughout and surrounding the Asheville area! Blue Ridge Parkway is just one recommendation. The Craggy Gardens Trail is one of the Blue Ridge trails that is short in length, moderate in skill and is gorgeous!
Nantahala Outdoor Center

NOC offers whitewater rafting, ziplining, kayaking and more! The main center is in Bryson City, which is roughly an hour and a half from Asheville. But they also offer excursions that take off from outposts that are much closer to Asheville.
