In June of 2016, Lane and Sarah started working at a small DC digital agency. Both new to the 9-5, Lane having just finished his master's degree, and Sarah, entering her senior year in college, became fast friends (thanks to Lane wowing her with facts about WVU's monorail system). Fast forward a few years and the two couldn't stop spending time together; soon realizing that maybe friendship was an understatement of how they were feeling.
After a long morning of hiking and exploring Acadia National park, (and what felt like an even longer time finding a parking spot at The Jordan Pond House) Lane and Sarah went for a walk while waiting for a table on the lawn for some popovers and tea. While looking out over Jordan Pond, admiring The Bubbles, Sarah turned around and Lane was down on one knee. Sarah was overwhelmed with emotion, Lane was shaking with nerves, but Sarah just hugged and kissed him repeating "Yes!". After a short photoshoot with Emily, they joined Sarah's parent's, Carl and Lisa, on the lawn at the tea house for a celebration. Now, they look forward to sharing their wedding day with so many people they love. See you in Philly!
