What is Mehndi? Traditionally in Pakistan, it is a lively celebration filled with music, choreographed dances, and food, held to bless the couple with good luck and health. The tradition of families wearing different colors at a Mehndi ceremony is a vibrant way to distinguish between the bride’s side and the groom’s side, adding a playful, competitive spirit to the pre-wedding festivities. While the celebration is filled with bright, joyous colors, coordinating by side makes it easy to see who’s representing whom. That said, don’t feel like you have to pick a side 😉 — wear whichever color you love!
