Oak Street Beach Restaurant–Whispers
The beaches along Lake Shore Drive open so it might be a little hectic, but it's walking distance from the Westin Hotel on Michigan Ave! You can walk on the path, take amazing photos of the city, rent a Divy bike or grab a bite to each or drink at the restaurant.
Lincoln Park Zoo
It's close and it's free! One of my favorite places to take pictures of the city–there are also trails, the lake and restaurants surrounding it.
Chicago Riverwalk - The Boardwalk
Some of the best people watching! The views of the city and its architecture are beautiful...you can walk along the river to burn some calories, have a drink or bite to eat at some of the restaurants along the riverwalk. You might end up renting a kayak or cycle boat.
WNDR Museum
Have your camera ready because there is a photo opportunity around every corner. It is for all ages and don't forget to check out the bathrooms!
Navy Pier
I call it a tourist trap, but Steve loves the Ferris Wheel. The hidden trails surrounding the Pier are my favorite because there are beautiful views of the city and it's quiet.

The Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit is a must see–it's the last weekend that it is in Chicago!

Portillo's Hot Dogs
If you are looking for some of Chicago's best, it's all here...amazing italian beef, Chicago dog, chopped salad and chocolate cake shake. It's only missing the deep dish pizza.
The Drake
For those who love their afternoon teas fresh, colorful, fragrant and steeped in history, Palm Court at The Drake Hotel, serving tea for nearly a century in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago, is the quintessential Magnificent Mile afternoon tea experience. Even the Queen and Princess Diana have made their royal visits here.
