Joseph and Nyisha first met outside of a nightclub in Norfolk Virginia, while she was visiting a friend at the time. Nyisha caught Joseph's eye by attempting to come out of her heels and walk barefoot. In that moment, Joseph caught Nyisha' s attention by pleading with her not to do that because of germs. They spoke for a moment and realized they had so much in common and sparked a mutual interest. Nyisha and Joe's first Date was at Sushi King, where Joseph talked about himself...while Nyisha just listened. LOL! Nyisha lived in Brooklyn, NY and Joseph lived in Chesapeake , Virginia. They cultivated a friendship that was watered and nurtured through frequent, long phone calls, texts and visits and allways making it imperative to support each other despite the distance. At one point, finding themselves drifting apart, they managed to hold on to the friendship and love they built over the years as an anchor to reconnect stronger than ever. Nyisha made the move to Chesapeake, Virginia in November 2018 to solidify their relationship as Boyfriend and Girlfriend. Joseph proposed to Nyisha when the ball dropped at midnight on January 1, 2022. Nyisha verbally said YES and mentally said "FINALLY, ABOUT TIME!" They ended up celebrating with a small group of friends and family. They are excited for their journey into partnership.
