Ben and Jenna met through a close mutual friend in March of 2022. The following week, the two went to one of their (now) favorite casual restaurants for their first date, Joe Mamas! It was clear that the relationship was meant to be from the beginning. The pair have been inseparable ever since!

Ben asked Jenna to marry him during an unforgettable road-trip to Wyoming and Montana over Memorial Day weekend in 2023. The couple took the trip out west to visit some of their bucket-list national parks - Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park, Badlands National Park and Theodore Roosevelt National Park. On their first full day in Wyoming, they embarked on a 15-mile hike they had planned through Cascade Canyon in Grand Teton National Park. Ben had planned to ask Jenna to be his wife once they reached the trail's turn-around spot near Lake Solitude. The hike took them through some of the best mountain scenery they have ever seen! They were even lucky enough to see a moose during the trek. About halfway through the canyon, Ben noticed a spot near Cascade Creek that he thought was beautiful, but they continued on. A few miles later, Ben and Jenna were caught in a bad thunderstorm and were forced to turn around. At this point, it was just them (and some wildlife) on the trail. They endured the storm on their way back, and to Ben's luck, the rain stopped. The sun began to peek out from behind the clouds as they approached the same spot by the Creek Ben took note of earlier. He pulled off to the side of the trail and got down on one knee. Of course, she said YES!
